SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM FOR VIDEO & FREE PRINTABLE PRAYER BOOK 2019 - Sacrament of First Reconciliation Programme and Homework All classes are to be held from 9:00am on the given Sundays. All Candidates are required to attend either the 8:00am or 10:00 am Mass at our Parish Church, on that Sunday, for at least the duration of Sacrament class lessons. It is hoped and encouraged that the Candidate and their families may continue to attend Mass at our Parish Church following their Sacrament, to become engaged and familiar with both the rituals of the Mass and to develop friendships with this Parish.
It is mandatory for ALL Candidates to attend ALL class lessons and ALL Masses for this Sacrament. Make-up class lessons or Mass’ are not able to be offered as a substitute for non-attendance. If Candidates miss either a class lesson or Mass, for any reason, they will be required to speak directly with Fr Kim or Deacon Louis, to discuss their commitment and ongoing participation in the Sacramental Programme. By not attending either a class lesson or Mass, it may compromise the Candidate’s ability to fully understand and appreciate the Sacramental requirements and may mean the Child cannot be adequately taught and/or be ready to complete the Sacrament.
Parents and Guardians are welcome and encouraged to stay during the class lesson times on Sundays, especially if the Candidate may need a little help writing or reading. Tea/coffee facilities are available.
